Brief
To rationalise all the Department’s current websites aimed at the schools workforce into one consistent and easy-to-navigate e-channel. Research revealed a time-constrained target audience that currently find very difficult to locate relevant information from the DfES to help them perform their day-to-day job. The solution needed to support the Department’s growing content pool of over 250,000 web pages.
Solution
We designed a website that addressed all of the main needs of the end-user by consistently validating any design decisions with representatives from each main audience group throughout the project. Our solution allows users multiple entry points to content based on their own understanding and situation while allowing the Department to contribute and manage content in a way that suits their business needs.
We are currently supporting the project through a challenging build phase pending the full launch of the website shortly.
