We believe our designs are successful because of our ability to truly understand the needs of both our clients and their customers. This is built on a solid foundation of research combining both academic rigour and commercial pragmatism. User research is a useful exercise throughout all stages in a project lifecycle.
Examples of some of our commonly used research methods include:
We conduct both qualitative and quantitative user research to gain first-hand insight into how users interact with technology. We observe users both in their natural environment and in our purpose built usability labs ‘Fluent Studios’ in Clerkenwell, London. All of our usability resources are highly accomplished interviewers.
One of the main tools for developing a good information architecture (IA) is “Card Sorting”, a technique for exploring how people group items, in order to develop structures that maximise the probability of users being able to find items.
Our own usability labs can be set up in either a formal or informal fashion suitable for focus groups on any subject. If you so desire you can also take advantage of our highly skilled facilitators who will work with you to ensure you get the most out of your focus groups.
