John Smedley approached Fluent to help ensure that they were delivering the best possible user experience as well as converting as many site visits to sales as possible.

We conducted a cost-effective usability study for John Smedley which ensured that maximum insight and ROI was delivered from available budgets and helped their technical web teams to improve the online user experience for their customers.

John Smedley selected Fluent because of our in-depth approach to qualitative user research using the latest UX technologies and our ability to make the most of a fixed budget.

We combined our qualitative approach to participant interviews with eye tracking data to provide a comprehensive user experience report on the John Smedley website. Insight gathered included a wider understanding of users’ online behaviour, perceptions of the John Smedley brand in the online and offline environments, as well as more focussed recommendations for development of the site navigation, functionality, analysis of site-specific tools and the site content and look-and-feel.

John Smedley were quick to see the benefits of our qualitative approach, in particular how it gave them real insight into the mindset of their customers. They are now actively looking for ways of involving regular user research as part of their core process.
