Fluent Interaction helped RNID to deliver their annual report online for the first time through an accessible, user-friendly and visually compelling website.
They set us the challenge of creating a best practice website on a small fixed budget whilst allowing the client team to make alterations to content and publish future annual reports themselves.
One of our key observations was that the management of content needed to be simple, available to everyone in the organisation and based on technology that could be easily re-used or adapted in future.
We built a bespoke desktop application that allows the RNID to manage the entire website using Microsoft Excel. This allows any of their staff to make changes to the website and also to create unlimited different versions of the website for marketing purposes.
RNID selected Fluent because we were able to stretch their budget to get the maximum value and flexibility for their business. They were impressed by our extensive experience of accessible and usable web design combined with our technically innovative ideas for managing the website.
RNID had had faith in us to try something a little different and as a result, we’ve developed a solution that allows any team member to push a single button and create as many websites as they like at any time, on any machine.
Since launch, RNID have been able to track the response to every aspect of the website. We’re now working with RNID to make the 2009 report an even greater success!
